Welcome to our HP User Forum!
Yes, you should be able to find the IP address of a website you're visiting using the Microsoft Edge browser. Here's how you can do it:
Using Developer Tools:
- Open Microsoft Edge.
- Navigate to the website for which you want to find the IP address.
- Right-click on any empty space on the webpage.
- From the context menu, select "Inspect" or "Inspect Element." This will open the Developer Tools panel.
- In the Developer Tools panel, navigate to the "Network" tab.
- Refresh the webpage by pressing F5 or the refresh button in the browser.
- You'll see a list of network requests made by the webpage. Look for the initial request (usually the top entry) which is often the HTML file. Click on it.
- In the details pane at the bottom, you should see information about the request, including the "Remote Address." This is the IP address of the website.
Using Command Prompt (Windows):
- Open the Start menu and search for "Command Prompt."
- Open Command Prompt.
- Type: ping website.com (replace "website.com" with the actual website's domain) and press Enter.
- The IP address will be displayed next to "Reply from" in the command output.
Please note that the IP address you find using these methods is typically the IP address of the web server hosting the website. It might not directly correspond to the IP address of the website's domain due to various factors such as content delivery networks (CDNs) or load balancing.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
