K. Thx.
Again, my focus is not to fix the WiFi offline problem but to remove the WiFi so that I won't have the WiFi offline issue. The WiFi connection is not reliable enough compared with a direct connection in my past experiences with previous printers. My PC is next to the printer. I don't have an Ethernet setup.

Hey @AK209
I looked at the specifications in the manual, and as an alternative, try installing it via USB, since it has an input for this type of installation. But I believe it will install via Windows.
I even recommend trying to install it via Easy Start
But originally, the default is to use Wi-Fi, but I understand that you are reporting the instability and lack of reliability of your network
Best Regards

Thx. I will try the options you suggested when I have a break.
If the HP Smart app can see the printer and report that the printer is Ready, then it is not necessarily issue with the stability of the WiFi. It is the Windows print queue showing the printer is offline. I did check the printer driver and it is up-to-date. Assuming that the WiFi is ok, then either it is the Windows end or the printer end causing the issue.

Hello, Fabio_L32, thanks for this discussion thread.
I posted my question to this Community after I got the printer working again. In my simple mind, a printer is an I/O device, no different than my USB drives, monitor, etc. from a functional role perspective. I know it is unfair as the printer is probably a much more complex equipment. When I need to use any of the I/O devices, I should not need to encounter issues like they are offline. I believe an important feature of an I/O device is that they support direct cable connections in addition to more convenient connectivity like WiFi, Bluetooth, etc. When one has to use the I/O device in a hurry, they can fall back to the most reliable connectivity to do what they need to do. Failover capability is an important feature of IT solutions.
I hence wonder if HP has clear instructions about cable connecting to their printers. Hence my post. Apology for a verbose response.

Hello @AK209
For this model no, it is more focused and used for Wi-Fi

Hi, Fabio_L32,
I used an old USB-B printer cable to connect my PC to the new 9130 printer. It worked.
So, problem solved. I now have a failover if, for some reason, Windows 11 believes the printer is offline (over WiFi),
Again, thanks for the thread discussion.

Hello @AK209
Wow !! Good news !!
Thanks for reporting, as mentioned in one of our posts, there is an option to install it via Windows. And we made sure to use the USB cable!
I wish you all the best and I'm sure this solution makes me happy.
Regards
