Hi @janwouter,

 Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To connect your HP Color LaserJet MFP M282nw to a Wi-Fi network, you can follow these steps.

  • Make sure your printer is turned on and in a ready state.
  • On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button to display the Wireless menu.
  • Use the arrow buttons to select the Setup option, and then press OK.
  • Use the arrow buttons to select the Network Setup option, and then press OK.
  • Select the Wireless Settings option, and then press OK.
  • Select the Wireless Setup Wizard option, and then press OK.
  • The printer will search for available networks. Select the network you want to connect to, and then enter the password for the network.
  • Once you have entered the password, press OK to confirm.
  • Wait for the printer to connect to the network. Once it has successfully connected, the wireless light on the printer control panel will stop blinking and remain lit.

Your HP Color LaserJet MFP M282nw is now connected to your Wi-Fi network and you should be able to print wirelessly from your devices on the same network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

It works, but only for a short time 😞 If I need print again in a few hours or another day, I must do it this steps again and again + restart wifi router. It is very very unconfortable.

Hi @nikitta_cz,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your HP Color LaserJet MFP M282nw printer. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Update Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can usually find the latest firmware on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can fix known issues and improve the printer's performance.
  • Check Wireless Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. You can try re-establishing the connection by removing the printer from your network settings and reconnecting it. Make sure your Wi-Fi router is functioning correctly as well.
  • Restart Printer and Router: As you mentioned, restarting the Wi-Fi router helps temporarily. Try restarting both your printer and Wi-Fi router whenever you encounter connectivity issues. This can often resolve connection problems and allow you to print again.
  • Check Network Settings: Verify that your printer's network settings are correctly configured. Ensure that it is set to obtain an IP address automatically (DHCP) and that it is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Disable Power Saving Mode: Some printers have power-saving features that can cause connectivity issues. Check the printer settings and disable any power-saving or sleep mode that may be interfering with its ability to stay connected to the network.
  • Reset Printer Settings: If the above steps don't work, you can try resetting the printer to its default settings. This will erase any customized settings, so make sure to note them down before performing a reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
