Hi @budro135,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw connected to Wi-Fi. It can be frustrating, but hopefully, we can resolve it quickly.
Step 1: Reset the Printer’s Network Settings
- Turn on the printer.
- On the printer’s control panel, press the "Wi-Fi" button. This will open the wireless settings menu.
- Select "Restore Network Settings" (this will reset any existing Wi-Fi settings).
- Confirm the reset and the printer will restart with its default network settings.
Step 2: Connect to Wi-Fi using the Control Panel
- On the printer’s control panel, press the Wireless button.
- Select Settings and then Wireless Setup Wizard.
- The printer will search for available networks. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password (ensure you are typing it correctly).
- The printer should now connect to the Wi-Fi.
Step 3: Check the Printer's Connection
Once connected:
- Print a network configuration page: This will let you verify the printer’s IP address and whether it is connected successfully. On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Print Reports > Network Configuration Page.
Step 4: Install or Update Printer Software
Make sure the printer is installed on your computer and connected to the same network.
- Download the latest printer drivers from HP’s website for your operating system.
- During installation, select the option to connect via Wi-Fi.
- Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
