Hi @budro135,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw connected to Wi-Fi. It can be frustrating, but hopefully, we can resolve it quickly.

Step 1: Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. On the printer’s control panel, press the "Wi-Fi" button. This will open the wireless settings menu.
  3. Select "Restore Network Settings" (this will reset any existing Wi-Fi settings).
  4. Confirm the reset and the printer will restart with its default network settings.

Step 2: Connect to Wi-Fi using the Control Panel

  1. On the printer’s control panel, press the Wireless button.
  2. Select Settings and then Wireless Setup Wizard.
  3. The printer will search for available networks. Select your Wi-Fi network from the list.
  4. Enter your Wi-Fi password (ensure you are typing it correctly).
  5. The printer should now connect to the Wi-Fi.

Step 3: Check the Printer's Connection

Once connected:

  1. Print a network configuration page: This will let you verify the printer’s IP address and whether it is connected successfully. On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Print Reports > Network Configuration Page.

Step 4: Install or Update Printer Software

Make sure the printer is installed on your computer and connected to the same network.

  1. Download the latest printer drivers from HP’s website for your operating system.
  2. During installation, select the option to connect via Wi-Fi.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete the installation.
