My spouse and I both have iMacs, iPhones, iPads. We want to print from all devices. What should I use to set up and will the other devices automatically work?

Hi @Kookie43,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you would like to connect all your devices with your HP ENVY Inspire 7955e. Not to worry I will help you to get the connection done.

First, we need to connect the printer to your home Wi-Fi router where all your other devices are connected. Once the printer is connected to your network, then you may print from all the devices connected to the Wi-Fi network.

To connect the printer to your Wi-Fi, please follow the below steps:

Restore Wi-Fi setup mode on the printer

Prepare a printer for a Wi-Fi connection by restoring the Wi-Fi setup mode.

When the settings are restored, the printer enters Wi-Fi setup mode for about two hours, making it discoverable during the HP software installation.

  • Touch the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings.
  • Once you restore the network to defaults, then please follow the instructions on this link to connect the printer back to your PC.

You can install HP Smart on all your devices and use it to print or you may use the Airprint feature to print directly from your apple devices.

Print using Airprint on macOS:

Add the printer using Apple AirPrint drivers.

1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.

2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.

3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button

at the bottom of the list.

4.) Click the plus sign click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.

5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

6.) Try to print.

Print using Airprint on iOS:

  1. Open the app that you want to print from.
  2. To find the print option, tap the app’s share icon reply icon or share icon or tap share icon
  3. Scroll down and tap pinter icon or Print. If you can’t find the print option, check the app’s User Guide or Help section. Not all apps support AirPrint.
  4. Tap Select Printer and choose an AirPrint-enabled printer
  5. Choose the number of copies or other options, like which pages you want to print.
  6. Tap Print in the upper-right corner.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
