Having MAJOR issues getting this 2734e printer to work. Have installed what I think are the proper drivers twice, but without success...I know the wireless connection is good, as occasionally, (1 in 20 tries), it will print the random page header/footer, but not the body of the message...Printer works fine when job is sent from phone, but not from my HP Desktop (Windows 11)... I've tried restarts and resets to no avail... Anyone else have had/solved similar problems ??? HELP !!!

@flustercated, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
It sounds frustrating, especially since the printer works intermittently and is fine with your phone. Given that it's a connection issue between your HP 2734e printer and your Windows 11 desktop, here are some troubleshooting steps specific to HP printers that could help resolve this:
Check Printer Status:
Ensure that the printer is online and there are no error messages on the printer's display.
Check if there are any paper jams or low ink/toner levels that could be causing the issue.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers:
Remove existing printer drivers:
Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
Find your HP 2734e and remove it.
Install the latest driver:
Go to the official HP support page.
Search for "HP 2734e" and download the latest driver for Windows 11.
After downloading, reinstall the printer drivers and ensure you’re installing the correct drivers for your operating system version.
Check the Print Spooler:
Sometimes, the print spooler service can get stuck, causing intermittent printing problems.
Press Windows + R to open the Run dialog, type services.msc, and press Enter.
Look for Print Spooler in the list, and ensure the status is Running.
Right-click and select Restart to clear any potential issues.
If the issue persists, you can also try clearing the print queue by navigating to C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS and deleting any stuck files.
Reset the Printer Network Settings:
It’s possible there’s an issue with the wireless connection that’s causing the intermittent printing. Resetting the printer's network settings might help.
On the printer's control panel, navigate to Network Settings.
Reset the wireless connection and reconnect it to your network.
Ensure that your printer is connected to the correct network (same as your computer).
Set Printer as Default Printer:
Sometimes, the issue arises because the system is trying to send jobs to the wrong printer.
Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
Right-click on your HP 2734e printer and click Set as default printer.
Check Print Settings:
Make sure the printer settings in Windows 11 are configured properly:
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
Right-click your HP 2734e printer and select Printer Properties.
Under the Advanced tab, ensure Default Settings are correct.
Disable "Print as Image":
Occasionally, printing issues like this can happen if the document contains complex elements.
In your print dialog box, click Preferences or Advanced Settings.
Under the Advanced tab, check the option to Print as Image. This can sometimes resolve issues with incomplete or missing body content in print jobs.
Try a USB Connection (Temporary Test):
If the issue continues, try printing via USB to eliminate any wireless connection problems temporarily.
Connect the printer directly to your computer via USB and try printing again. This will help determine if the issue is specific to the wireless setup.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
