Hi @Maria0713,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To change the wireless network name (SSID) on your HP LaserJet MFP M234sdw, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Printer Control Panel

Access the Control Panel:

  • On the printer's home screen, go to the Network or Wireless menu.

Select Wireless Settings:

  • Navigate to Wireless Setup or Wireless Settings.

Change the Wireless Network Name:

  • Look for an option like Network Name (SSID) or Change Wireless Network Name.
  • Select it and enter the new network name you want to use.

Save Changes:

  • Confirm the changes and save the settings.

Reconnect to the Network:

  • If necessary, reconnect to the network using the new SSID.

Method 2: Using HP Smart App

Open the HP Smart App:

  • Download and open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.

Select Your Printer:

  • Click on your printer from the list of devices.

Go to Printer Settings:

  • Navigate to the Printer Settings or Network Settings section.

Change Wireless Network Name:

  • Look for an option to change the wireless network name and follow the prompts to update it.

Save Changes:

  • Save the changes and reconnect to the new network if needed.

Method 3: Using a Web Browser

Find Printer IP Address:

  • Print a network configuration page from the printer’s control panel to find its IP address.

Access the Printer's Web Interface:

  • Open a web browser and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar.

Log in to the Web Interface:

  • You may need to log in (default credentials are often "admin" for username and "admin" or blank for password).

Change Wireless Settings:

  • Navigate to the Network or Wireless settings.
  • Find the option to change the wireless network name (SSID) and update it.

Save Changes:

  • Save the changes and restart the printer if prompted.

After Changing the Network Name

  • Reconnect Devices: Ensure all devices connected to the printer are reconnected to the new wireless network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
