Hi @nadosh,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Deskjet 2700 printer is showing as offline after changing your network, you'll need to reconnect it to the new network. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you resolve this issue.
Check Printer Connection
Make sure your printer is turned on and properly connected to the power source. Also, ensure it is within range of your Wi-Fi network.
Access Printer Control Panel
Touchscreen (if applicable): On the printer’s touchscreen display, look for a setup or wireless icon. Tap on it to access settings related to wireless or network setup.
Buttons (if no touchscreen): If your printer doesn’t have a touchscreen, it might have physical buttons. Look for a "Wireless" or "Setup" button. Press it and check for options related to wireless setup.
Enter Wireless Setup Wizard
- Look for an option like "Wireless Setup Wizard" or "Network Setup" and select it.
- The printer will scan for available networks. Select your new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) from the list.
- If prompted, enter the Wi-Fi password using the printer’s control panel or touchscreen (if applicable).
Confirm Connection
Once you’ve entered the correct network credentials, the printer will attempt to connect to the new network. This process might take a minute or two.
Verify Connection on Printer
- After connecting, your printer should display a confirmation message or indicator that it is connected to the network.
- Print a network configuration page or wireless network test report from the printer’s control panel to ensure it is connected to the new network successfully.
Update Printer Status on Computer
After confirming the printer is connected to the new network:
- On your computer, go to "Devices and Printers" (Windows) or "Printers & Scanners" (Mac).
- Find your HP Deskjet 2700 printer in the list. If it still shows as offline, right-click (Windows) or Control-click (Mac) on the printer and select "Set as default printer" or "Use Printer Online."
- If necessary, remove the offline printer and add it again using the new IP address or network name.
By following these steps, you should be able to reconnect your HP Deskjet 2700 printer to your new Wi-Fi network and resolve the offline status issue.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
