I am certain the password is correct. I've reset to factory default. Tried entering manually ("password incorrect"), Also tried WPS push button (times out without connecting). Also tried using HP Smart to connct ("password incorrect). All drivers are up to date.

Hi @lkimllo,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Network Settings:
- Ensure that the SSID (network name) is correct.
- Double-check the case sensitivity of the password, as these are case-sensitive.
Router Proximity:
- Place the printer closer to the router to avoid connectivity issues related to distance or obstructions.
Restart Devices:
- Turn off the printer, your router, and any other devices connected to the network.
- Wait for 30 seconds and then power them back on. This can solve temporary connectivity issues.
WPS Connection:
- Ensure that the printer and router support WPS and that it is enabled on both devices.
- Try initiating the WPS connection again by pressing the WPS button on the router first, followed by the printer, within the allocated time frame.
Ensure Firmware and Software are Updated:
- Check for any firmware updates for your printer that can be installed through the printer’s control panel or HP’s support page.
- Ensure that HP Smart app is the latest version.
Router Settings:
- Some routers have security features that may block new devices. Check your router settings to ensure they are not restricting new wireless connections.
- Ensure your router supports the 802.11b/g/n wireless settings that are compatible with most printers.
Avoid Special Characters:
- If your password contains special characters, try changing it to one with only letters and numbers to eliminate issues related to unsupported characters.
Reset Network Settings on Printer:
- If you haven't already, in addition to the factory reset, try resetting only the network settings on the printer and trying to reconnect.
Static IP Address:
- Consider setting a static IP address for your printer in the router’s settings, which can help in maintaining a stable connection.
I hope this helps.
