Hi @Cynthia881,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your printer is connected to the internet but is displaying a blinking information light and showing "Printer Busy" when you try to print, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

**1. Check Printer Status

  • Information Light: Consult your printer’s manual to understand what the blinking information light indicates. Different patterns can signify different issues.
  • Display Panel: If your printer has a display panel, check for any error messages or status updates that might provide more information.

**2. Restart the Printer and Devices

  • Power Cycle the Printer:
    1. Turn off the printer using the power button.
    2. Unplug the printer from the power source.
    3. Wait for about 60 seconds.
    4. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Restart Computer and Router:
    • Restart your computer and router to ensure there are no connectivity issues.

**3. Clear Print Queue

  • On Windows:
    1. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    2. Right-click your printer and select See what's printing.
    3. Cancel any documents in the queue by selecting Cancel All Documents.
  • On macOS:
    1. Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    2. Select your printer and click Open Print Queue.
    3. Cancel any pending print jobs.

**4. Check Printer Connections

  • Verify Network Connection:
    • Ensure the printer is properly connected to your network. You can check the printer’s network settings from its control panel or through the printer’s web interface.
  • Wi-Fi Signal Strength:
    • Ensure that the printer is within range of your Wi-Fi network and that the signal strength is strong.

**5. Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Download Latest Drivers:
    1. Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model.
    2. Download and install the latest drivers and software for your printer.
  • Reinstall Printer:
    • Remove and reinstall the printer on your computer to refresh the connection.

**6. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Update Firmware:
    1. Go to the HP Support website and check for firmware updates for your printer model.
    2. Follow the instructions to update the firmware if an update is available.

**7. Run Printer Diagnostics

  • Built-In Diagnostics:
    • Many printers have built-in diagnostic tools accessible from the control panel. Run any available diagnostics to check for issues.

**8. Perform a Printer Reset

  • Factory Reset:
    • If other steps don’t resolve the issue, consider performing a factory reset on the printer. Check the user manual for instructions on how to do this.

**9. Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  • Inspect the Printer:
    • Open all accessible areas of the printer to check for paper jams or obstructions. Clear any paper or debris you find.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
