Hi @plainjane12,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1202w printer has lost its connection, let's go through some common troubleshooting steps to help you reconnect and get printing again.
Steps to Reconnect Your Printer
Check Printer and Wi-Fi Status:
- Make sure the printer is powered on and that the Wi-Fi light on the printer is solid (not blinking), indicating a stable connection to the network.
Restart Printer and Router:
- Power off your printer and router, wait 10-15 seconds, then turn them back on. This can reset network connections.
Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi:
- If the Wi-Fi light is blinking or off, reconnect your printer to Wi-Fi:
- On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for about 5 seconds until the wireless light starts blinking.
- Go to your router and press the WPS button within 2 minutes to allow the printer to reconnect to Wi-Fi.
- Alternatively, if you use the HP Smart app, you can go to Printer Settings > Wireless Settings to reconnect.
Restart Devices and Check Printer Status on Your Device:
- Restart your computer and check if the printer shows as online in the Printers & Scanners settings.
- Open the HP Smart app and see if it detects the printer. If it’s not listed, click Add Printer to re-add it.
Reinstall Printer Drivers (if needed):
- Go to the HP Support website to download and reinstall the latest drivers for the HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1202w. This can resolve connectivity issues caused by outdated or corrupted drivers.
Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings:
- If you recently installed or updated firewall or antivirus software, ensure it’s not blocking the printer's network connection.
After trying these steps, your printer should reconnect. Let me know if any specific errors come up during the process!
