Hi @carolp44,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer's wireless light continues to blink blue, it generally indicates that the printer is not connected to your wireless network. Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue:

Ensure the Printer is Powered On: Check that your printer is switched on and not in sleep mode. The power light should be on and steady.

Check Wireless Network Connection:

  • Verify that your printer and wireless router are both on and connected.
  • Ensure your printer is within the range of the wireless network.
  • Ensure the wireless network you are trying to connect to is functioning correctly.

Reset the Printer’s Wireless Settings:

  • Reset the wireless settings on your printer to return them to default.
  • Follow these steps for most HP printers:
    1. Press and hold the Power button.
    2. While holding the Power button, press the Start Copy Black and Cancel buttons simultaneously.
    3. Release all buttons. The wireless light should start blinking, indicating that the printer is ready to be connected to a network.

Reconfigure the Printer:

  • Use the HP software to reconnect the printer to your wireless network. Make sure your printer and computer are connected to the same network.
  • You can download the HP software from 123.hp.com or the HP Support page and follow the installation instructions for your specific printer model.

Network Troubleshooting:

  • If problems persist, check your network settings.
  • Try restarting your router and reconnecting your printer.

Check the Device and Router Placement:

  • Ensure there aren't any physical obstructions or electromagnetic devices (e.g., microwaves, cordless phones) that could interfere with the wireless signal between the router and printer.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
