HP OfficeJet Pro 8125e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone,

due to a hw problem, I replaced my hp Officejet 8600 printer with a new Officejet Pro 8120e.

I followed the installation procedure (wireless connection) and everything went well. On my pc (windows 11) I downloaded the HP smart app and it works great.

I'm using Office 2007. When I try to open excel or word files, a popup window pops up with the message "Waiting for printer connection -.wait for connection or cancel connection" and the program freezes.   I restarted pc and printer but the problem remains.

I never had problems using officejet 8600; I suspect the problem is related to HP Smart sw.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance, Valter

Hi,

Try checking for any MS Office Updated within the File menu of MS Word.

For any further issues, please also note that Office 2007 is compatible with Windows 10 and earlier operating systems, it is not officially compatible with Windows 11, nor getting updated with any security updated which might create a security issue:

Thanks for your answer.

The problem was solved removing the printer in:  control panel / printers and readding it.
