Hi @Zulia
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The "Driver Unavailable" error usually indicates that either the printer driver is missing, corrupted, or outdated, which prevents the computer from communicating with the printer properly. Since your HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e was previously working for printing and scanning, it’s possible that the driver was uninstalled or became corrupted.
Here are some steps you can follow to resolve the "Driver Unavailable" issue:
1. Restart Printer and Computer
- Turn off your printer and your computer, then restart both devices. Sometimes, this simple step can resolve temporary issues.
2. Check Printer Connection
- Make sure your printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or Wi-Fi, depending on your setup.
- If connected via USB, try plugging it into a different USB port on your computer.
- If connected via Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
3. Update the Printer Driver
The first thing to do is to make sure that you have the latest driver for your printer:
- Go to the HP Support Website:
- Visit HP's official support page and search for your HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e printer.
- Select the correct operating system (e.g., Windows 10, Windows 11, or macOS).
- Download the latest printer driver for your operating system.
- Install the Driver:
- After downloading the driver, open the installer file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.
- Once the driver installation is complete, restart your computer and check if the issue is resolved.
4. Reinstall the Printer Driver
If simply updating the driver doesn't work, you might need to uninstall and then reinstall the printer driver:
Uninstall the Printer:
- Go to Settings → Devices → Printers & Scanners.
- Find your HP OfficeJet Pro 8130e in the list, click on it, and select Remove Device.
- You can also go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers, right-click the printer and choose Remove Device.
I hope this helps.
