Hi @Bubbles27,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to reset the password and gain access to your HP OfficeJet Pro 8715's wireless and other settings, you can perform a factory reset. Here's how you can do it:

Option 1: Using the Printer's Control Panel

  1. Turn on the printer if it's not already powered on.
  2. On the printer's control panel, touch or swipe down the dashboard (display panel) to open the Settings menu.
  3. Go to Printer Maintenance or Setup depending on your menu options.
  4. Choose Restore Factory Defaults or Restore Settings.
  5. Confirm the reset, and the printer will restore all settings to the factory defaults, including the admin password.

Option 2: Using the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS)  Connect an HP printer using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)

If you know the printer's IP address and can still connect to it via a network:

  1. Open a web browser on a device connected to the same network.
  2. Enter the printer's IP address in the browser's address bar to access the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS).
  3. Go to the Settings or Security tab.
  4. Look for the option to Restore Defaults or reset the password.
  5. Follow the prompts to reset the printer.

Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
