password for the network deskjet 3764

hello I have the HP deskjet 3764 printer. And when I press on the information button I do get the guide printed out but it doesn’t help me in my case. 

I downloaded the HP Smart app and I could register. When I want to add a printer for wireless printing I have a problem. They ask me to go to my iPhone settings and press on the network that belongs to the printer. Which I found. But when they ask for a password I am stuck. I have no idea what password they want from me. I tried all numbers and letters on my router and modem also on the back of the printer. Even my password for the HP Smart account I have. And it won’t accept. Online I have searched for about 2 hours and i do read that I have to insert the password. Again my problem I don’t know what password it needs. 

could anyone help me? And yes the wireless button is blinking and I did try to press on it and press on the WPS button on my router. The printer are about 4 meters from each other in the same room btw. 

do I need to consider buying a USB-cord?

I would like to help

There are 2 ways to print wirelessly. One is through your wireless network ( Router ) and one without your wireless network by using the printer's WiFi-Direct feature

Since you have chosen the printer's Network which seems to be the WiFi-Direct, try using the default password 12345678 and let me know if that works
