Hi @Lola108,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be happy to help you!

The blinking power and Wi-Fi buttons on your HP DeskJet 2752 indicate that the printer is not properly connected to your network or may be experiencing a connectivity issue. Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:

1. Restart the Printer

  • Power Off and On: Turn off the printer by pressing the power button. Unplug it from the power source for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check the Buttons: See if the power and Wi-Fi buttons are still blinking after restarting.

2. Check Wi-Fi Connection

  • Ensure Wi-Fi is Working: Make sure your Wi-Fi network is operational and that other devices can connect to it.
  • Move Printer Closer to Router: If possible, move the printer closer to the router to ensure a strong signal.

3. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  • Reset Wi-Fi Settings on the Printer:
    1. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button simultaneously for 3 seconds. This will reset the printer’s wireless settings.
    2. The Wi-Fi light should start blinking, indicating that the printer is in setup mode.
  • Use the HP Smart App to Reconnect:
    1. On your computer or mobile device, open the HP Smart app. If you don’t have it installed, you can download it from the HP Smart website.
    2. Follow the instructions in the app to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. You may need to select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

4. Check for Firmware Updates

  • Update the Printer's Firmware:
    • If the printer connects successfully, check for firmware updates via the HP Smart app or the HP website. Keeping the firmware up-to-date can resolve connectivity issues.

Please find the remaining steps in the next post.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @Lola108,

Please find the next steps below.

5. Perform a Factory Reset (if necessary)

  • Reset to Factory Defaults:
    • If the above steps don’t work, you may need to reset the printer to its factory settings. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button for about 10 seconds until the power button starts blinking, then release the buttons. This will reset the printer, and you can start the setup process again.

6. Check for Router Issues

  • MAC Address Filtering: If your router has MAC address filtering enabled, ensure the printer's MAC address is allowed to connect. You may need to access your router’s settings to verify this.
  • Restart the Router: Sometimes, a simple router restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Following these steps should help you resolve the blinking power and Wi-Fi button issue and get your printer connected to the network again.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there might be a hardware problem. In that case, contacting HP Phone Support for further assistance or to arrange for a repair might be necessary.
