Why on my computer screen a message pop up says that the printer isn't connected to the internet, but when you click on test itself it says it is connected to Wi-Fi? and on the printer itself the blue Wi-Fi " triple layer umbrella" light is on
how to reset it to Wi-Fi? it doesn't want to print from the computer.
Thank you.

Hi @edwardphf,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP ENVY 6458e printer is connected to Wi-Fi but you're experiencing issues printing from your computer, you can try a few troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem. Here's a step-by-step guide.
Check Connection:
- Ensure that both your computer and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Restart Devices:
- Restart both your computer and the HP ENVY 6458e printer. Sometimes, connectivity issues can be resolved with a simple restart.
Printer Status:
- On the printer's control panel, check if there are any error messages or if the printer is in an offline state. If there are any issues, the printer's display might provide more information.
Printer Queue:
- Check the printer queue on your computer to see if there are any pending print jobs. If there are, try canceling them and then attempt to print again.
HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility. This tool can automatically diagnose and resolve common printing problems. You can download it from the official HP website.
Reinstall Printer Driver:
- Uninstall the printer driver from your computer and reinstall it. You can download the latest driver from the HP website.
Update Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Firmware updates can address bugs and improve the overall performance of the printer. You can find firmware updates on the HP support website.
If, after trying the above steps, the issue persists, you may want to reset the printer's network settings and set up the Wi-Fi connection again. Here's how you can do it.
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wireless or Network settings.
- Find the option for "Restore Network Settings," "Reset Network Settings," or a similar option.
- Confirm that you want to reset the network settings.
After resetting the network settings, go through the printer setup process to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network. Once it's connected, try printing from your computer again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
