Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer cannot connect to server

This creates the following issues:

1. Cannot print from my computer without being connected via cable

2. Cannot enable Web Services

My printer is connected to the internet and the wireless direct feature is working. I can print from my phone for some reason, but not from my computer unless it's hardwired. Web services do not work at all, and I have checked that it's enabled under admin settings. I've gone through all the readily available fixes for this issue.

Hi @Frustrated55555,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing a web service connectivity issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus E-All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • Is the blue light solid on the printer?
  • How far is the printer from the router?
  • Were there any recent changes on the router?

While you respond to that, Let's perform a power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Please follow the steps mentioned in this document: HP printers - Cannot connect to Web Services
