Hi @malis123,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
When your HP Smart Tank 7305 is connected to Wi-Fi but won't print, it could be due to several factors ranging from software issues to incorrect printer settings. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
1. Check Printer Status
- Ensure the printer is turned on and not displaying any error messages.
- Check if there are any blinking lights or error codes and refer to the printer manual for troubleshooting specific errors.
2. Verify Connection
- Even though the Wi-Fi is connected (as indicated by the blue light), ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device.
- Try printing a Wireless Network Test report or a Network Configuration Page from the printer control panel to confirm network settings.
3. Restart Devices
- Turn off the printer and your computer.
- Unplug the printer from the power source and wait for about a minute.
- Plug the printer back in, turn it on, and restart your computer. This can help reset any potential errors in the connection.
4. Check Printer Queue
- Open the printer queue on your computer and clear any stuck print jobs.
- For Windows, go to "Settings" > "Devices" > "Printers & scanners". Click on your printer, then click "Open queue".
- For macOS, click the Apple icon, select "System Preferences", then "Printers & Scanners". Select your printer and open the queue.
5. Printer Software and Driver
- Ensure that the HP Smart software is correctly installed on your device. If not, download and install it from the HP website.
- Check for updates to your printer's driver on the HP website. An outdated driver can cause printing issues.
6. Print from Another Device
- Try printing from a different computer or a mobile device to determine if the issue is with the initial device.
7. Check Printer Settings
- Make sure the correct printer is selected in the print dialog box.
- Check the print settings to ensure they are correct for your print job.
8. Use HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows)
- If you're using a Windows PC, HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing problems. Download and run it from the HP website.
9. Reconnect to Wi-Fi
- Sometimes, reconnecting the printer to your Wi-Fi network can resolve the issue. Use the HP Smart app or the printer's built-in Wi-Fi setup wizard to reconnect.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
