@Miah10, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Great news that your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e is finally connected to Wi-Fi! Since you've been working on this for five days and now it's online, let’s lock in the connection and finalize the setup so you can print your important documents smoothly.
Here’s what to do next to complete the setup and keep the connection stable:
✅ 1. Register or Sign In to HP Smart
- On your computer or phone, open HP Smart or install the app if you haven't yet.
- Sign in with your HP account or create one.
- If prompted, add your printer (it should appear as connected now).
- Complete any pending setup steps, like enabling HP+ features or Instant Ink if applicable.
✅ 2. Assign a Static IP (Recommended for Stability)
This prevents the printer from "losing" its IP address if your router restarts.
- Go to your printer’s IP address in a browser (you can find this on the printer screen under Wi-Fi details).
- Login (username: admin, password may be blank or printed on the printer label).
- Go to Network > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > IP Settings.
- Set it to Manual (Static IP).
- Use the current IP address but ensure the Subnet Mask and Gateway match your router.
- Click Apply.
✅ 3. Set It as Default Printer
- On Windows:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Click on your printer, then select Set as Default.
- On Mac:
- Go to System Settings > Printers & Scanners.
- Select the printer and set it as Default.
✅ 4. Test Print
Try printing a test document (like a PDF or even a test page from the printer's menu) to confirm smooth operation.
✅ 5. Avoid Auto Sleep Issues
If your printer disconnects when idle:
- On the printer, go to Settings > Preferences > Energy Settings > Sleep Mode.
- Increase the sleep time (or disable it temporarily while you’re working).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
