Hi @frustred,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your printer is offline.

Kindly refer to the steps below:

1. Power Cycle Your Devices:

  1. Turn on your HP printer. While it is on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.

  2. Unplug your wireless router.

  3. Wait at least 60 seconds.

  4. Plug the router back in and wait for the lights to stabilise.

  5. Plug the printer's power cord directly back into the wall outlet and turn it on.

2. Uncheck "Use Printer Offline" (Windows):

If your PC thinks the printer is offline, you can manually override it in Windows settings:

  1. Open your PC's Settings and go to Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.

  2. Click on your HP printer and select Open queue.

  3. Click on the Printer menu or look at the top toolbar.

  4. If Use Printer Offline is checked, click it to uncheck it.

3. Use the HP App for Automated Repair:

HP provides a built-in tool to automatically scan for and resolve connectivity issues:

  1. Open the HP Smart app on your computer (or download it from the official HP Smart page).

  2. Select Diagnose & Fix (usually found in the bottom left corner of the Printers menu).

  3. Click Start and follow the on-screen instructions to repair your connection.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
