Hi @Tracy5172,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is showing as offline and you've already tried the usual steps, let's go through a complete checklist to make sure nothing is missed:

1. Restart Everything

  • Turn off your printercomputer, and Wi-Fi router.
  • Wait 30 seconds, then turn them back on in this order: router → printer → computer.

2. Check Printer Connection

  • USB: Make sure the cable is securely connected.
  • Wi-Fi:
    • On the printer, go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings.
    • Run Wireless Network Test or reconnect to your Wi-Fi.

3. Set Printer to Online Manually

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer → Select "See what's printing".
  • Click Printer in the top menu → Uncheck "Use Printer Offline".

4. Set as Default Printer

  • In Devices and Printers, right-click your printer → Select "Set as default printer".

5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

6. Reinstall the Printer

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Remove your printer.
  • Click Add device to reinstall it.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
