Hi @noproblem123,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your printer is having trouble connecting to your network or device. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.
Check Printer's Network Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer or mobile device.
- Restart your router and printer to refresh the connection.
Reconfigure Network Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, go to the network settings and reselect your Wi-Fi network. Enter the Wi-Fi password if needed.
- You might also need to manually enter network settings if the automatic configuration fails.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer. Updates can fix bugs and improve connectivity.
- You can usually find firmware updates on the HP website or through the printer’s control panel.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Uninstall and then reinstall the printer drivers on your computer. Go to the HP website, search for your printer model, and download the latest drivers.
Check for IP Address Conflicts:
- Ensure your printer’s IP address is correctly configured and doesn’t conflict with other devices on your network. You can find the IP address in the printer’s network settings and verify it matches your network setup.
Reset Network Settings on Printer:
- Sometimes, resetting the network settings on the printer to default and reconfiguring the network connection can help. Check the printer’s manual for instructions on how to perform a network reset.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. It can diagnose and fix common printer issues.
Check HP Smart App:
- If you’re using the HP Smart app, ensure it’s up to date. You can also try removing and re-adding the printer in the app.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
