Officejet 7610
Hi,
I got a new router and I can't get the printer (HP7610 Officejet Wide Format All-In-One) to connect to wifi.  I've entered the router's password, but it's unable to connect.

I'm not sure what the problem is but I'm wondering if it's possible that, although both the router and the printer are in the same location as they were with the old router, whether the signal strength isn't reaching (they are still in two different rooms).

I'm curious if this is a possibility before I move the printer, because it's very heavy for me (not sure how I'll move it, actually) and I don't want to go through that effort if it's an unlikely remedy anyway.

(Edited to add: I"m using a Chromebook and app HP Print for Chrome)

Secondly, the printer info screen tells my using disc that came with the printer might help with this problem, but I've moved since I first got the printer and I have no idea where that might be.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Hi,

From the Setup menu, please select Network Settings and Restore the Network Defaults.

Next, follow the Wireless Setup Wizard again.

If it fails connecting again, click the Print button to print and evaluate a Wireless Test Report, please clarify the exact information listed by the printed report, it should include a diagnostics information or attention on its top.

Thanks for your reply. Here's an image of that test result. Of the 14 wireless networks detected mine is shows up on the list and I'm entering the passcode properly.

Hi,

From your computer, update the printer firmware using below utility, wither temporarily connect the printer with a USB cable, with an Ethernet cable or temporarily disable your wireless security:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/oj7610/2028b/OJ7610_2028B.exe

Once updating the firmware check for any difference.

If the same persists, contact your router service provider to make sure your router is up to date as well, also check its security configuration and make sure it is correctly set with WPA1 / WPA2 security,

With apologies, I wrote 2 posts and didn't realize that in this one, I did not mention I'm using a Chromebook (using app HP Print for Chrome).

As such that file didn't work with this OS.
