Hi @Ronnie107
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If your HP Photosmart Premium C309 printer is not responding after switching to a fibre network, despite having a strong network connection, it may require reconfiguration to communicate with your new network setup.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue on macOS 10.14 Mojave:
1. Check Printer Network Settings:
- Restart Devices: Turn off your printer, router, and Mac. After a few minutes, turn them back on.
- Network Configuration: Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct network. You may need to reconfigure its network settings.
2. Reconnect Printer to Network:
- Reinstall Printer: Go to 'System Preferences' on your Mac, select 'Printers & Scanners', and remove the printer. Then, add the printer again.
- Wi-Fi Setup: If the printer supports Wi-Fi, make sure it’s connected to your new fibre network. You might need to enter the network password again using the printer’s control panel.
3. Update Printer Software:
- HP Easy Start: Download and use the HP Easy Start application from the HP Support website to ensure you have the latest printer drivers and software.
4. Use Correct IP Address:
- Check IP Assignment: Ensure your printer is on the same subnet. The IP address on the printer settings should match that of your local network.
- Static IP: Consider setting a static IP address for your printer through your router’s settings to maintain a constant connection.
5. Reset Printing System:
- Go to 'System Preferences' > 'Printers & Scanners', right-click (or Control-click) on the printer list, and select "Reset printing system". This will remove all printers; add your printer back afterwards.
6. Firewall and Security Settings:
- Firewall: Check your Mac’s and router's firewall settings to ensure printer communication is not being blocked.
By following these steps, you can often resolve connectivity issues induced by changes in network infrastructure.
