Hi @Aimler,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Connectivity
Wireless Connection: Ensure that the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. The Wi-Fi signal should be strong, and the printer should be within range of the router.
USB Connection: If you are using a USB connection, ensure that the cable is securely connected to both the printer and your computer.
Set Printer Online
Windows:
- Go to "Control Panel" > "Devices and Printers".
- Right-click your printer icon and select "See what's printing".
- In the print queue window, click "Printer" and remove the check next to "Use Printer Offline".
macOS:
- Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners".
- Select your printer and click "Open Print Queue".
- Resume any paused print jobs and ensure the printer is not paused or offline.
Restart Devices
Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
Computer: Restart your computer to reset the connection.
Troubleshoot Network Settings
Print a Network Configuration Page: Use the printer's control panel to print a network configuration page which can offer insights into the network settings.
Verify Network Settings: Ensure the SSID displayed matches your network and that the Wi-Fi status is connected.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor
- For Windows, download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool. It can diagnose and resolve many network connection issues.
Reset Network Settings
- Resetting the network settings to factory defaults and reconnecting the printer can sometimes resolve persistent connectivity issues:
- Press and hold the "Wireless" button on the printer until it flashes to restore network settings.
I hope this helps.
