Hi @bobmainn

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thank you for your patience so far. I understand how frustrating it can be when your printer shows as offline or disconnected. Let’s walk through a few steps to help your printer reconnect and get back to printing smoothly.

Restart All Devices

  • Power off your printer using the power button. If it doesn’t respond, unplug it from the power source.
  • Restart your computer and your Wi-Fi router.
  • After 30 seconds, plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check Wi-Fi Connection

  • On the printer’s control panel, open the wireless or network settings menu.
  • Ensure it’s connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • If not, select your network and enter the password to reconnect.

Use the HP App for Diagnosis

  • Open the HP App on your Windows PC.
  • Select your printer, then go to Printer Settings > Diagnose & Fix.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to automatically detect and resolve connectivity issues.

Manually Set the Printer to Online

  • On your Windows PC, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your printer and select See what’s printing.
  • In the new window, click Printer in the top menu and uncheck Use Printer Offline if it’s selected.

Ensure Printer is Set as Default

  • In Devices and Printers, right-click your printer and select Set as default printer.

Re-add the Printer (if needed)

  • If the issue persists, remove the printer from Devices and Printers.
  • Then click Add a printer and follow the prompts to reinstall it.

If you’ve already tried any of these steps, I truly appreciate your effort—it makes a big difference in narrowing down the cause. Let’s keep the momentum going and get your printer back in action.
