If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-In-One Printer is recognized by your Chromebooks but shows as "no longer available," here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:
1. Ensure the Printer is Connected to the Network
Check Network Connection:
- Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromebooks.
- From the printer control panel, print a Network Configuration Page to check the network status.
Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- On the printer control panel, go to Network Setup > Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
2. Restart Devices
Restart Printer:
- Turn off the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
Restart Chromebooks:
- Restart your Chromebooks to refresh the network settings.
3. Remove and Re-add Printer on Chromebook
Remove Printer:
- On your Chromebook, go to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e and click Remove.
Add Printer:
- Go to Settings > Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer and select your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e from the list.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add the printer again.
4. Use HP Print for Chrome
Install HP Print for Chrome:
- Open the Chrome Web Store on your Chromebook and search for "HP Print for Chrome."
- Install the HP Print for Chrome extension.
Print Using HP Print for Chrome:
- Open the document you want to print.
- Click the HP Print for Chrome icon in the Chrome toolbar.
- Select your printer and follow the on-screen instructions to print.

Please find the next set of steps below.
6. Check Google Cloud Print (if applicable)
- Google Cloud Print:
- Note: Google Cloud Print was deprecated in December 2020. However, if you're using a legacy system, make sure it's properly set up and still supported.
7. Check Printer's IP Address
Find Printer's IP Address:
- Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer control panel to find the printer's IP address.
Access Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Open a web browser on your Chromebook and type the printer's IP address in the address bar to access the printer's EWS.
- Check the network settings and ensure the printer is connected to the correct network.
8. Reset Printer Network Settings
- Reset Network Settings:
- On the printer control panel, go to Network Setup > Restore Network Settings to reset the network settings.
- Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network using the Wireless Setup Wizard.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the issue and successfully connect your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e All-In-One Printer to your Chromebooks. If the problem persists, contact the phone support.
