Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M281fdw

trying to print documents wifi direct to my printer.  printer is hooked up to router ethernet cable.  With my work computer I cannot find the printer.  Cannot turn on wifi direct because it says not hooked up to internet but all my apple devices can print to it using eprint.  Cannot get support because warranty ran out.  Do I need to buy a new printer just for work.
