@Winks1, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
If your HP printer is online and ready but you're experiencing issues printing files from an internet-based service, there might be a few reasons for this problem. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:
Check Internet Connection
- Ensure Printer Connectivity: Verify that your printer is connected to the internet. This can be checked through the printer configuration page, where you can see if it is connected to the correct network.
Review Printer Settings
- Network Settings: Access the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS) to check the network settings.
- Print a configuration page to determine the IP address or host name.
- Open a web browser and enter the IP address or host name shown on the configuration page.
- Check if the printer network settings are correctly configured.
Enable HP Web Services
- Ensure that HP Web Services are enabled. This is required for functionalities such as HP ePrint:
- Open the HP Embedded Web Server and navigate to the HP Web Services tab.
- Click Enable, if it is not already enabled.
- Follow any on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Test with a Different File or Service
- Different File/Service: Try printing a different file or use another web-based service to see if the issue is specific to certain file types or services.
Update Firmware and Drivers
Firmware Update: Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can do this from the HP Embedded Web Server under the troubleshooting or firmware section.
- Check for available updates and install them if any are found.
Driver Update: Ensure you are using the latest printer drivers compatible with your device and operating system. Visit the HP Support website to download and install any available updates.
Check for Queue Errors
- Print Queue: Check your computer’s print queue to see if there are any stuck jobs and clear them if necessary.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
