@den411, Welcome to the HP Support Community – it’s great to have you here!
I appreciate you taking the time to share your question. I'm more than happy to assist with this and provide a solution that works for you.
understand your HP DeskJet 2855e printer is not powering on. Let’s walk through some steps to help resolve this issue.
Check Power Source:
- Ensure the power outlet is working by plugging in another device (like a phone charger or lamp).
- Avoid using surge protectors or extension cords plug the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Inspect Power Cable:
- Make sure the power cord is securely connected to both the printer and the wall outlet.
- If available, try using a different compatible HP power adapter.
Try a Power Reset:
- Disconnect the power cord from the printer and wall outlet.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord and try turning the printer on using the Power button.
Check for Signs of Life
- Look for any lights, sounds, or movement when pressing the power button.
- If the printer is completely unresponsive, continue to the next step.
Firmware or Internal Fault
If the printer still won’t turn on:
- Disconnect all cables (USB, Ethernet, etc.) except the power cord.
- Try powering on again.
- If it still doesn’t respond, the issue may be internal (e.g., power supply failure).
If none of the above steps work, I recommend visiting the nearest HP authorized service center, the service team will check and assist you.
