Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are trying to connect the printer using a Bluetooth connection, I am here to assist you.

Note:- HP Smart uses Bluetooth for printer setup only. Printing using Bluetooth is not supported.

Follow these steps to fix the issue:-

Perform a power reset to hard reset the printer

  1. Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Wait at least 30 seconds.
  5. Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
  6. Turn on the printer.

Update the printer firmware to install the latest updates on the printer

Here are the steps:- Click here

Set up using the HP Smart app

1. Open the HP Smart app.

2. Windows: On the home screen, click or tap Set up a new printer and follow the onscreen instructions to add a printer to your network.

If that does not work, refer to page number 116 in this user guide for the steps to change from a USB connection to a wireless network:- Click here

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
