Hi there! Hoping the community can help me out here!
I received an HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-one Printer for as a gift, and am having trouble connecting it to my D-Link Wi-Fi.
No matter what I do to try to set up the Wi-Fi on my printer, the Wi-Fi button keeps blinking and won't connect.
When I attempt to set up the printer via the HP Smart app, and try to connect the printer through my Wi-Fi, I receive the following error message:
"Wi-Fi network unsupported by printer.
We were unable to connect the printer because the chosen Wi-Fi network is not supported by this printer.
(Error Code: -2)"
Any ideas on how to possibly fix this issue?
I have already performed the following:
_______________________
Unplug/ Reboot Method:
1. Shut down all home devices using the Internet/ Wi-Fi
2. Unplug the Modem and the Router and wait for 1 minute
3. Plug the Modem and the Router back in
4. Wait a few minutes until they are both fully back online
5. Reboot all home devices using the Internet/ Wi-Fi
_____________
Reset the WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) on the Router:
1. Hold for 1-5 seconds: WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) will be enabled and will start scanning for compatible devices
2. Check the home device (printer) connectivity
_____________
Check to see if your Wi-Fi Router has WPA3 Security Type Encryption, which may interfere with connectivity:
1. On your PC:
- Click on the Wi-Fi symbol
- Click on Properties
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page:
- Under Properties, look for Security Type
- Next to Security Type, check to see if your Network Wi-Fi Protocol is Open, or has WPA2 or WPA3 Security Encryption
*Mine currently is Open
_____________
I'm not sure what the connectivity issues are.
Any help/ assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there,
Thank you for the follow-up. Unfortunately, I am experiencing the same issue. The light next to the Wireless Button on the printer continues to blink (indicating that the printer is not connecting to the Wi-Fi network).
Here is what I see on my end when attempting to connect the printer to the HP Smart app:

@CRMacDonald
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.
Cheers.
