Hi @Dan7575,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

To reset the network settings on your HP DeskJet 4252e All-in-One Printer, follow these steps:

Reset Network Settings on the Printer

Method 1: Use the Printer Control Panel (buttons)

  1. Turn on the printer if it's not already on.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless button (📶) and the Cancel button () together for about 5 seconds.
  3. Release both buttons when the Power light blinks.

🔄 This restores the wireless settings to factory defaults. The printer's wireless light will begin blinking, indicating it is ready to be reconnected to a network.

Method 2: Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

Once network settings are reset, you need to reconnect the printer:

Option A: Use the HP Smart App

  1. Download HP Smart HP printer setup (HP Smart app) | HP® Support.
  2. Open HP Smart and click “+ Add Printer.”
  3. Follow the prompts to set up Wi-Fi.
    • Make sure your PC is on the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to use.

Option B: Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) — if your router supports it

  1. On your printer, press and hold the Wireless button until it starts blinking.
  2. On your router, press the WPS button within 2 minutes.
  3. The printer will connect automatically. The light will turn solid when connected.

Method 3: Please uninstall the HP Smart app --> restart the Device, Wi-Fi Router, & Printer, --> install it back and add the Printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
