Hi @EZEBabies,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 2842e All-in-One Printer is showing a blinking power button and your Windows 11 laptop says it's offline, here’s how to fix it:

 1. Restart Everything

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Restart your laptop and Wi-Fi router.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

2. Check the Power Button Light

  • blinking power light usually means the printer is in an error state or updating firmware.
  • Wait a few minutes to see if it stops blinking.
  • If it continues, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to reset.

3. Check Wi-Fi Connection

  • Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop.
  • The Wi-Fi light on the printer should be solid blue.
  • If it’s blinking or off, reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi using the HP Smart App.

4. Use the HP Smart App to Diagnose

5. Set Printer Online in Windows

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click your printer > Open print queue.

In the menu, uncheck “Use Printer Offline” if it’s selected.

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
