Hi @lucelly1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Slow printing can be caused by various factors. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to improve the printing speed of your HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer.
- Printer Driver Update: Ensure that you have the latest printer driver installed. Visit the official HP website and download the latest driver for your printer model.
- Connection Check: Make sure your printer is connected properly to your computer or network. If using a wireless connection, check the signal strength.
- Print Queue: Clear the print queue on your computer. Sometimes, pending print jobs can slow down the printing process.
- Printer Settings: Adjust the print quality settings. Lower quality settings can result in faster printing.
- Network Issues: If the printer is connected to a network, check for network issues. Restart your router and ensure a stable connection.
- Paper Type and Size: Make sure that the paper type and size settings in both the printer and the print driver match the actual paper loaded in the tray.
- Printer Memory: If the printer has low memory, it may slow down. Consider upgrading the printer's memory if possible.
- Software Updates: Ensure that your printer firmware is up to date. Check for any firmware updates on the HP support website.
- Print in Draft Mode: When speed is more important than print quality, consider using the draft mode for printing.
- Print Spooler Service: Restart the print spooler service on your computer. This can be done through the Services menu in Windows.
- USB Connection: If possible, try connecting the printer directly to your computer using a USB cable to eliminate potential wireless issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
