Hi @BetaRho70,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to connect your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148fdw to your new wireless network on macOS Monterey, follow these steps:
1. Reset the Printer's Network Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Network menu.
- Select Restore Network Settings or Restore Network Defaults. Confirm your choice if prompted.
2. Connect the Printer to the New Wi-Fi Network:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Network Setup or Wireless Settings.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
- The printer will search for available networks. Select your new network name (SSID) from the list.
- Enter your Wi-Fi password when prompted and confirm the connection.
3. Install or Update Printer Software on Mac:
- Make sure your Mac is connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- If the printer is listed, remove it by selecting the printer and clicking the minus (-) button.
- Download and install the latest HP printer drivers and software from the HP support website.
- Open the HP Easy Start or HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add the printer to your Mac.
4. Manually Add the Printer (if not detected):
- Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the plus (+) button to add a new printer.
- Select your printer from the list. If it doesn’t appear, select Add Printer or Scanner and then IP tab.
- Enter your printer’s IP address (you can find this on the printer’s control panel under network settings) and add it.
5. Update Printer Firmware (if needed): Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure your printer is connected to the Wi-Fi.
- Visit the HP Support website and check for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
- Download and install any available updates.
Troubleshooting Tips:
- Make sure your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly and other devices can connect to it.
- Place the printer close to the Wi-Fi router during the setup process.
- Restart your printer, router, and Mac to refresh the network connections.
- Disable any VPN or firewall settings temporarily to ensure they are not blocking the printer connection.
