I cannot use ethernet connection to internet, but printer keeps giving message that ethernet cable is missing. HOW can I turn wifi back on? No documentation I've found so far is working. HELP! the printer is two years old, but as an instant ink customer, you'd think HP would be invested in me being able to print. Because out of warranty, can't talk to someone.
I wonder what brand my next printer will be.....?
Any help will be much appreciated!

Hi @Anne90,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are getting an error message Ethernet Cable missing on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-In-One Printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To assist better:
- Was there any update done prior to the issue?
- Have you checked if the ethernet cable is working fine by connecting it to a different device?
- Have you tried any troubleshooting to resolve the issue?
- Is there a blue light on the printer?
- Is it blinking or solid?
While you respond to that, Let's perform a power drain:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle
Update the printer firmware
- Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
- Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.
To turn on the Wireless on the printer. You have to click on the Wireless icon and then click on the settings icon, there you will find an option to enable wireless if it is off.
Refer to this document to connect your printer to your router via wireless.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
