@hankresnik, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Let's get your HP DeskJet 2700 connected to Wi-Fi and working with your Windows 11 PC. Please follow these steps:

Option 1: Use HP Smart App (Recommended)

Download HP Smart:
HP Smart

Reset the printer’s network settings:

  • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer for 5 seconds until the wireless light blinks. This restores default Wi-Fi settings.

Connect your printer to Wi-Fi:

  • Open HP Smart and click “Set up a new printer”.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Once connected, HP Smart will automatically install the necessary drivers.

Option 2: Use HP Easy Start (if HP Smart fails)

Download HP Easy Start from HP’s official site:
HP DeskJet 2700e All-in-One series Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

Run the installer and follow the prompts to connect the printer to Wi-Fi and install drivers.

Additional Tips

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz, as the DeskJet 2700 does not support 5 GHz.
  • Temporarily disable VPN or firewall if the printer isn’t detected.
  • Make sure your Windows 11 is up to date via Settings > Windows Update.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
