Hi @BBBbbam,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Printer and Network Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is properly connected to the network. You can do this through the printer’s control panel by checking the network status.
- Make sure the Wi-Fi network is functioning properly and that the printer is within range of the router.
Restart Devices:
- Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait about a minute before plugging it back in and turning it on.
- Restart your router and computer as well to refresh network connections.
Update Printer Drivers:
- Ensure your printer drivers are up-to-date. You can download the latest drivers for your printer model from the HP Customer Support website.
Set Printer to Default:
- On your computer, navigate to "Devices and Printers" or "Printers & Scanners" settings.
- Right-click on your HP printer and select “Set as default printer”.
Check for Printer Errors:
- Check the printer display for any error messages or prompts. Resolving these issues might bring the printer back online.
Use HP Print and Scan Doctor:
- HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor that can help diagnose and fix printer offline issues. You can download it from the HP Support website.
Adjust Print Settings:
- In the printer properties, ensure that the correct port is selected and that the printer is not set to offline mode.
I hope this helps.
