Hi @queencityexclus,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

  1. Check Wi-Fi Network:
    • Ensure that the Wi-Fi network your printer and MacBook Pro are attempting to connect to is active and functioning. Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network.
    • Check for any network restrictions or limitations, such as firewall settings, that might be blocking the connection.
  2. Restart Printer and MacBook Pro:
    • Turn off your HP Envy 6200 printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
    • Restart your MacBook Pro to refresh network settings.
  3. Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi Network:
    • On the printer control panel, open the Wireless menu or Network Setup section.
    • Select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  4. HP Smart App Installation:
    • Download and install the HP Smart app from the Mac App Store.
    • Open the HP Smart app and follow the prompts to add your HP Envy 6200 printer.
  5. Printer Network Settings:
    • Access the embedded web server (EWS) by entering the printer’s IP address in a web browser on your MacBook Pro.
    • Check the network settings to ensure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and has a valid IP address.
  6. Update Firmware:
    • Visit the HP Support page and download the latest firmware updates for your HP Envy 6200 printer.
    • Follow the instructions to update the printer’s firmware.
  7. Reset Network Settings on Printer:
    • On the printer control panel, go to Network Setup or Settings.
    • Choose Restore Network Settings to reset the Wi-Fi configuration.
    • Reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi network using the Wireless Setup Wizard.
  8. Update Printer Drivers:
    • Ensure you have the latest printer drivers installed on your MacBook Pro. Visit the HP Support Page for Envy 6200 and download the latest drivers for macOS.
    • Install the drivers and follow the prompts to set up your printer.

I hope this helps.
