Common problems for Connectivity Issues

Try these steps:

Restart Your Printer and Devices

  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power supply. Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.
  • Restart your computer and the router. Sometimes simply rebooting these devices can resolve connectivity issues.

Check Network Connection

  • Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router.
  • Check that your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly and that other devices can connect to it.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

  • Use the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  • You can also use the printer's control panel to access the wireless setup wizard to reconnect it to Wi-Fi.

Verify Network Settings

  • Ensure that you are connecting to the correct Wi-Fi network and entering the correct password.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Make sure your printer firmware is up-to-date. You can download firmware updates from the HP Customer Support site by entering your printer model.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor for Windows. This utility can diagnose and resolve many common printing and scanning problems.
