I am unable to get wifi on the printer- the default password to Wifi Direct to Printer is not 12345678- What else can it be?

Hello,

 

Are you trying to connect your printer to your Wi-Fi router, or trying to directly connect your phone to the printer using Wi-Fi Direct (not involving a Wi-Fi router)?

 

If you are trying to connect your printer to your Wi-Fi router, you should make sure the printer is in Wi-Fi setup mode and use the HP Smart "Add Printer" pathway to complete Wi-Fi setup.

 

If you are trying to connect directly from phone to printer using Wi-Fi Direct, the Wi-Fi Direct password should be available on the printer information page (you can print by pushing the I button)
