MFP 127

Hi

I have a MFP 127 All in one Fax

Is there another way (besides using Outlook)

to import a list of contacts into the Address Book?

I do not use Outlook and would rather not have to use it for my fax phone book

Thanks

Brooke

Hi @Brookester2,

Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums!

I noticed that you're wondering how to import your address book from another application, rather than Outlook. I will certainly do my best to help you and please remember to return to this thread and mark 'Accept as Solution', if I have successfully helped you resolve the issue. If you wish to say 'thanks' for my effort to help, click the 'thumbs up' to give me a Kudos.

I understand that you would like to import a list of contacts from a source other than Outlook. In order to import these contacts, you would need to have an Import feature in the HP Toolbox.  We have this printer in our lab, so I checked to see if this option was available and it is not.

The way you can manage your phone book is to follow these steps:

  1. Open the HP Toolbox.
  2. Click on the Fax tab across the top.
  3. On the left-hand side, click on the Phone Book
  4. From here you can Add or Delete numbers from your list.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion. Please respond to this post with the results. Good luck! 🙂

Hi @Brookester2,

Thanks for the reply.

I understand that you would like to import all of your contacts, however, this printer lacks the feature to perform such a task.

I hope this helps clear up any confusion. Thanks for reaching out to the HP Support Forums! 🙂

What??

It is technology from the 1990's.

That is really not good.

That is archaic.

Terrible!##

Where is the thumbs down button??

The address book is terrible. It astounds me that it is not capable of importing a list of contacts.

Will there be an update to correct this oversight??

Why did you not say it could not be done in your opening sentence?
