Great job in proving the app is the problem.

Hope they revert to previous version soon.

I tried the cloud print, but it needs the hp print app to see the printer.

Thanks again!!

Just to go one step further, I did notice that the HP ePrint app doesn't print in color, even with the older HP print service plugin. I would guess that an older verion of that app would work better, but I haven't tried it.

Seems like they are not going to investigate/fix the app issue.

All of us have the same issue.

Please confirm something is being done.

Thanks.

@Jimdaddyo

Welcome to the HP Forums 🙂

I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

As I understand you have a black & white/grayscale print instead of color,

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help you, although, to provide an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern:

Which application are you using to print your documents?

Which version of android do you have on your phone?

What steps have you attempted so far?

Did you try printing using an alternate app? If you haven't, check this link for details on Mobile Printing Solutions Compatible with HP Printers

Eagerly awaiting your response,

Keep me posted,

If I have helped you resolve the issue, feel free to give me a virtual high-five by clicking the 'Thumbs Up' icon below,

Followed by clicking on "Accept as solution" from the drop-down menu on the upper right corner,

Thank you for posting in the HP Support Forum.  Have a great day!

Regards,

Yep, I was able to delete the current version of the plugin and locate version 2.14-2.1.2-12b-16.3.15-102 online and now it works! Thanks to mcraeaa for the suggestion!

Re London's comment,.

Can you not make that version avaliable (Play store) for everyone that has issue with new version that does not allow colour option?

So we don't have to hunt for It.

FYI

I removed hp print app and down loaded print app..mobile print-printer share and now can print colour....

Hey there! @jonno1805, @mcraeaa, @Jimdaddyo, @LondonCalling75

I apologize for the delay in the response.

I have checked with the relevant team and found it's an issue with marshmallow and nougat update.

But found a workaround with the team please try the steps recommended below.

If you are using nougat on your device. Go to settings on your device, Go to apps and select show system.

Select android system web view and select disable.

Note: If it is already disabled select force stop and select disable.

Restart your device and try printing again using HP print plugin service or HP AIO app.

Let me know if this works!
Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂

Hello,

i'm just joining this line of help seekers...

Hardware:

HP Deskjet 6943 on LAN, latest firmware (checked by HP support assistant right now), no issues with printing from 5 different PC's on the network.

Phone:

OnePlus 3T, Android Nougat 7.0, HP print service plugin.

Tryed all your solutions. HP print service, E-print, AIO print, all of them uninstalled and installed again, disabling and stopping Android WebView.

Unfortunately, nothing helps. my phone also says there is no colour modus supported.

So, story continues...

thanks for looking further ;-), i will wait

kind regards,

@BebeMischa, Thanks for your generous response and time.

As I mentioned in my previous thread that it is an issue with Android nougat.

Please use a smartphone which is running on Android lollipop and check if you are able to print using HP print plugin or HP AIO app.

Let me know how it goes!

Cheers! 🙂
