I've had this printer for 3 months and everything has been fine.
Now the panel says "Connection Required", and the printer is not connecting to the Internet. I can't use the Embedded Web Server, and HP Connected online says the printer is not connected.
Toolbox shows ink levels, but nothing is listed under Network Information.
I can still print from my computer fine via USB cable.
I reinstalled the drivers, rebooted the computer, restarted the printer. I've used Print and Scan Doctor.
Help!!

Hello @mikedog,
I understand that you're not able to use your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-All-in-One Printer over the network connection. I would like to work with you today with resolving this issue. Can I please have you follow the steps below.
Step 1: Powercycle Network:
There is a chance that an update was run on your network that has now blocked the printer. To resolve any potential router issues, can I have you follow the steps below to powercycle your network connection.
- First, unplug the power cable to your Router
- Once your Router is unplugged, turn off your printer
- Next, shut down your computer
- After 30 seconds to 1 minutes, plug your Router back in
- Next, turn on your printer
- Turn on the computer
After a few moments the internet connection will return. Please check on your computer and ensure that you are able to browse to websites before proceeding.
Once your network is up and running again, please proceed to the next step.
Step 2: Check Connectivity:
- On the front panel of your printer swipe to select Setup
- Under the Setup menu select Network Setup
- If your connection is Ethernet, touch Ethernet
- If your connection is Wireless, touch Wireless
- Select View Wireless (or Ethernet) Settings
- Take note of the IP Address
- On your computer, try to access the EWS Browser again by entering the IP Address (with no www.) in the address bar
- If a website for your printer now opens, please test printing again to verify that the issue has been resolved.
- If a website for your printer still fails to open, please proceed to the next step.
Step 3: Restore Network Defaults:
- If you're using an Ethernet Cable network connection, please disconnect the Ethernet Cable now
- On the front panel of your Officejet select Setup
- Select Network Setup
- Select Restore Network Defaults
- Choose Yes
Once the network defaults have been restored, if using an Ethernet Connection, please plug the ethernet cable back in. If using Wireless, proceed to the next step.
Step 4: Reconfigure Wireless:
- Touch Setup on the front panel of your printer
- Select Network Setup
- Select Wireless Settings
- Choose Wireless and ensure it is ON
Select Wireless Setup Wizard - When prompted, select your Network Name SSID
- Enter your wireless password (key). This is case sensitive.
Once the wireless connection has been established, please gather the IP Address and try to open the printers EWS Browser again.
Once you're able to open the EWS Browser it will prove with the 100% certainty that your printer and computer are communicating over the network once again.
