Hi,

I would like to know if the Deskjet 3520 is compatible with the WPA2 wifi security.

The data sheet does not include the wifi security compatibility (WPA2, WPA, WEP). :indifferent:

Thanks a lot.

Hey,

I understand the frustrations, but I at least wanted to clarify on the issue.  I have the 3510 e-All-in-One where I am located and this model is currently connected to a WPA2 (AES) connection type.  The 3520 and 3510 have the same network card with the same networking capabilities.

Best of luck,

Jason

The manual only talks WPA being the highest.  What is the issue?  Set your router to WPA2 only, then try WPA/WPA2 mixed mode.

Thanks for your reply.

I'm going to buy this printer, so I can't do this test, but I can't set the router in WPA/WPA2 mixed mode and I have to use WPA2 only, so I don't want to have issues buying this printer.

Is it possible that a 2013 wifi printer has not WPA2 protection?

I doubt it.  The manual says b/g/n support so I would assume WPA2 support.  But I can't find any reference.  If someone else doesn't pipe in here, I would call HP and ask for verification.

I would like to contact HP, but I can't find a contact without having a product serial number.

It's about 20 years I buy HP printers and scanners, but in these days I'm thinking to buy an Epson or Samsung.

I can't find this simple information about WPA2 and I can't contact HP via email or web form. Very disappointed!

I have found the way to write to HP, but I received no answer till now.
I have called to more than one phone numbers, but they say pre-sales information should be found on HP website.

If the HP product page is lacking in WPA2 compatibility, WHAT I HAVE TO DO TO KNOW IT???

Hey DMJ3000,

I do not have a product reference stating the encryption capacity of this model, but can tell you from experience with this series printer that it does support WPA2 (AES encryption).

Thanks jason_h.
At this point the only way to confirm what you say is to buy and try this model. It's pathetic to find it out in this way.
