I also have an HP 3510 e-All-In-One and appreciate jason_hp for his input on compatability thing. What I am having trouble with is finding out where in the ePrintCenter's site is there a place to enter "Allowed Senders Only" configuration? Another one is the "printer code" that needs an email address I've tied and tried etc. I think HP is so convoluted thay even thier employees can't tell thier ass from a hole-in-the-ground. Why, why why????????

Ok it's official, the Deskjet 3520 supports the protocol encryption WPA2 (but not WPA2 Enterprise).

Please HP, write this in the datasheet!

Hey down2zero,

I see you are having an issue with your HP Deskjet 3510 eAiO.  You mentioned that you were looking for information about the Allowed Senders list.

Do you need to know how to set up an Allowed Senders list for your printer?  If so, then once you have your account created for ePrintCenter.com you will be able to add the printer using the printer code obtained from your printer.  Click the link below for information on how to activate web services, obtain a printer code for your printer, and setup a customized email on the ePrintCenter website.

Setting Up a Custom Email Address for ePrintCenter

Once the printer is added, then you will be able to select the ePrint Settings for the individual printer.  Below is a screenshot of a newly created ePrint account with an attached Officejet 8600. There is an ePrint Settings button near the middle of the image.  The following screenshot is of the settings window that opens showing how to setup an Allowed Senders list.

Hope this helps!

I'm of the opinion that the Deskjet 3520 does NOT support WPA2 (Personal or Enterprise). I have had a lot of trouble getting this little printer to play nice with routers (Dlink and Netgear). Long story short if you want WPA2 avoid this printer.

My current setup:

Deskjet 3520 (Latest Firmware)

iMac Snow Leopard (Latest Drivers)

Netgear R6200 (Latest Firmware, WPA2 AES)

The printer will only work if I set my router to WPA. It also will not work in mixed mode. This is a pretty big bummer because I just bought this printer at Christmas and really wanted to use the wireless functionality. Now I have to choose between running a less secure wireless network or having to keep my printer plugged into a machine that's always on.

Nice one HP 😞

I'm using a Netgear DGN3500 router and the Deskjet 3520 connected with WPA2 without problems.

Considering the multitude of problems with the R6200, it's not surprising.  Since others can connect at WPA2 on different routers, it does work.  Suggest a hard reset of the R6200 and reconfigure back from scratch and try again.

Well I just about returned my brand new router (Netgear 6200, which so far has been great) but I decided to troll the internet forums looking for answers one more time and I'm glad that I did. I stumbled upon this little gem:

http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-Networking-and-Wireless/HP-Deskjet-3050-Unable-to-connect-to-WP...

Apparently you can login to the Web-based interface for the printer and following the steps outlined in the above post I was able to get the HP 3250 working using WPA2 and my Netgear 6200. Sadly I could have saved myself a lot of time had I followed the solution link to this thread in the first place. I'm only posting my findings here in the hope that I will save someone else my same frustration.

Clearly this is an issue with the printer setup software (Not the router). HP, let's get a bug fix.

I'm just happy that it works.
