LaserJet 100 color MFP M175a
Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard and older

Hello,

I have hp printer (LaserJet 100 color MFP M175a) which I didn't use for 2 years.

I tried to replace the 4 drums of ink, but when I press the rotating button, it does not rotate! then it shows a messege of error 49 and asking for turning off then on the printer! but the same thing happens again.

I tried to replace the drums and I started rotating them by my hands.

Now, I have put all the 4 new inks, but when I want to print anything, a messege says: "Install imaging drum" !

What can I do ? I have inserted the drums correctly!

I need the soltion as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Hi @LaylaMJ , and welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you're receiving an error 49.  I would like to try and help.

I would recommend checking out this post by @Hefin   in this thread on 'Error 49 Turn off then on' HP LaserJet 400 M451dn.

Although it states  400 model, these steps should still apply.

Good luck and please let me know the results of your troubleshooting steps. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums!

Hello,

Thank you very much for your fast response :generic:

That post gave this solution:

1) Remove the LAN / Network cable from the printer.

2) Reset the printer to factory defaults.

3) Remove the DHCP reservation of 192.168.0.218 from the server.

4) Delete the lease IP 192.168.0.218 from the server.

5) Connect the LAN cable to the printer.

6) Let the printer obtain a new IP address. If it picks up the same IP again you need to go back to step 1 again.

7) That's it.

----

But, my printer has no network cable " I think"

It is LaserJet 100 color MFP M175a

This is supposed to be the first step of solving the problem. I also reset the printer to factory defaults, but nothing happened.

Thanks

Hi LaylaMJ ,

I'd suggest running the firmware update for you printer:

HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MultiFunctional Printer M175 Series Firmware Update Utility

If that doesn't resolve this, you should give us a call. You can utilize this website to learn how to contact HP appropriately, based on your region: Contact HP Worldwide.

Please let me know the results!
